FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can you fix any kind of flooring or just concrete?

We will do sealing or overlays on any type of flooring, but we aren't equipped to repair types of flooring other than concrete.

When does concrete need to be repaired?

When concrete starts to look like it is deteriorating, bubbling up, cracking, or you can see what lies beneath it, it should be repaired promptly to prevent further damage.

What causes concrete damage?

Concrete can be damaged in several ways, ranging from being poorly laid or hydrated to cracks forming during the process of the concrete shrinking. Two of the most common reasons concrete is damaged are issues with freezing and thawing and deicing salt (ice melt).

How do freezing and thawing affect concrete?

Freeze-thaw occurs when water in the concrete freezes and expands, causing damage over time to the concrete. The ice then melts, and when it is frozen again, the process repeats. Deicing salts are catalysts in the freeze-thaw process, causing the melted ice and snow to seep into the concrete.

How does your solution help fix and prevent the
damage from freezing temperatures?

Properly mixed and laid concrete will have microscopic pockets that allow for water to be present, and even expand a little, without doing damage. Concrete is naturally water absorbent, so the goal is to create a layer between the water and concrete, preventing the absorption of the moisture. To prevent excess water from getting into the concrete, we can seal the concrete, creating that protective layer and ensuring a longer life for your concrete.

Do you offer a warranty for your work?

This varies on a case by case basis between projects. Most projects do have a warranty based on the type of work being done and the products we use. We will let you know before we begin the project what kind of warranty we can offer.
